The Association of Evangelicals in Africa is a continental fellowship of national evangelical churches and organisations – serving the Church across seven regions of Africa, united in the Gospel since 1966.<\/p>\n\t

Our Conviction<\/p>\n\t

We are held together by a single, urgent conviction: that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the hope of Africa – and that the Church, working together as one body, is the primary agent of that hope.<\/p>\n

Who we are<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tRepresenting the African Church, in every region\t<\/h3>\n\t

Founded in 1966 and headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, AEA is a Christian umbrella organisation representing national evangelical fellowships in every part of Africa. Our membership spans 40 full member fellowships – with active work to establish fully-fledged national fellowships in the remaining countries of the continent.<\/p>\n

Membership also includes international Christian NGOs, development agencies and missionary bodies working in Africa. AEA is registered in Kenya as a Charitable Christian Organisation and serves as one of the regional associations of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA).<\/p>\n\t

What Unites Us<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFour convictions hold us together\t<\/h3>\n\t

A common calling to live and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ amongst all the nations and peoples of Africa – with a shared commitment to:<\/p>\n

We hold to the authority and sufficiency of God’s Word as our final rule for faith and life.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHoliness\t<\/h5>\n\t

We pursue lives set apart for Christ – marked by integrity, humility and the fruit of the Spirit.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJustice\t<\/h5>\n\t

We seek the good of every community, defending the vulnerable and speaking truth with grace.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTransformation\t<\/h5>\n\t

We labour for the holistic renewal of people and communities through the Gospel.<\/p>\n\t\t

AEA is the regional alliance for Africa – one of nine that make up the World Evangelical Alliance.<\/p>\n\t
