Our Calling
AEA exists to serve the African Church — equipping it, uniting it, and mobilising it for the work God has called it to.
Across a continent of extraordinary diversity, complexity and spiritual hunger, we work through national fellowships, commissions and strategic partnerships to advance the Kingdom of God.
What We Do
Six ways we serve the Church
From building a united continental voice to relief and development, our core work runs through the commissions and the wider fellowship.
01
A United Continental Voice
Bringing national evangelical fellowships together, so the African Church can speak and act with one coherent, credible and collaborative voice — across the continent and on the world stage.
02
Theological Education and Biblical Resourcing
Decades of investment in the theological infrastructure of the African Church: graduate schools, Christian learning materials and biblical scholarship from within an African context.
03
Missions and Evangelism
Through the Missions Commission, driving a continent-wide discipleship movement — cross-cultural mission, evangelism and church planting that is biblical, contextual and built to grow.
04
Leadership Development
Forming church leaders of character, competence and calling, through training, mentoring and partnership across the fellowship.
05
Advocacy, Ethics, Peace and Justice
Through the Ethics, Peace and Justice Commission, engaging governments, civil society and international bodies on human dignity, religious freedom, reconciliation and the care of the vulnerable.
06
Relief, Development and Community Transformation
Through the Relief and Development Commission, supporting the practical ministry of the Church — meeting poverty, food insecurity and disaster with the love of Christ.
